Hi my name is Louise Gartland.
I have worked in mental health for over 15 years. I am an Art Psychotherapist and Creative Arts Therapy Supervisor trained in the UK and practicing in Ireland.
I am Clinical Director & Founder at Artonomy, a therapy organisation in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. Artonomy provides various psychotherapies to clients across the age span.
At Artonomy I work privately (both online, outdoors and face-to-face) with adults and older adolescents dealing with a variety of issues, some of which include anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, suicide and sexual trauma. I am fully trained and practised in the Eating Freely program. I deliver this in person or online.
I have worked in many settings including educational, clinical, foster care, residential addiction treatment, forensic and international voluntary organisations.
I believe in people’s innate wisdom and hope to help them explore this in therapy so that they may listen to and trust in their own voices, gaining personal autonomy in their lives.
