This approved professional training gives you a clear, ethical, whole-person framework for working with adults who have weight-related health concerns — including those using weight-loss medication such as GLP-1s.
In the UK, NICE guidelines list four essential pillars of support for anyone prescribed weight-loss medication: nutrition, movement, behaviour change, and medical. We add a crucial fifth pillar - psychological support - because without it, the rest often falls apart.
In the USA - JAMA have published similar guidelines, and globally the World Health Organisation have also issued guidelines.
Our 1 day immersive combined with 6 comprehensive modules of self-paced learning and online community support throughout, brings together the psychological, behavioural and lifestyle tools you need to work safely and confidently with clients and patients. We're fully in line with all best practice guidelines too - from JAMA in the USA, to the World Health Organisation and NICE in Europe.
You’ll gain practical resources to use immediately in your sessions and ensure the people you support have a realistic roadmap-for-life, with or without medication.
IN WEIGHT MANAGEMENT & PRIMARY CARE
Many adults referred for weight-related support, or starting GLP-1s, use food to cope with stress or emotional pain. Research in bariatric populations shows very high rates of past trauma or adverse experiences, yet targeted psychological support is still missing in most primary care pathways.
You’ll learn how to recognise these patterns early, respond appropriately, and integrate compassionate psychological tools within your scope of practice.
IN HEALTH COACHING & NUTRITION
Clients seeking help for weight loss, gut issues, inflammation, PCOS, endometriosis and similar conditions often struggle with food rules, binge–restrict cycles and “all-or-nothing” thinking.
For those on GLP-1s, challenges like nausea, low protein intake, fatigue and fear of weight regain are common. This training helps you navigate those challenges confidently while keeping clients nourished, active and supported.
IN TYPE 2 DIABETES & ENDOCRINOLOGY
Up to 40% of people with Type 2 Diabetes meet criteria for Binge Eating Disorder, yet fewer than one in three professionals routinely screen for it.
You’ll learn how to identify eating-related red flags, open non-shaming conversations, and know when and how to refer on — helping your patients maintain medication tolerance, stabilise glucose levels and improve long-term outcomes.
